I’ve been a registered New Zealand Marriage and Civil Union Celebrant for 10 years and have had the privilege of marrying plenty of couples in that time.

My approach is pretty simple: no two couples are the same, so no two ceremonies should be either.

I’ll work with you to create a ceremony that feels like you. That might mean plenty of laughs and a bit of banter, something short and sweet, something more traditional and romantic, or a mixture of all of the above.

I’ve spent a lot of my life talking in front of people. Before becoming a celebrant I spent years behind the microphone at Backbeat FM and Kiwi FM, and I’ve since MCed countless weddings, quizzes, fundraisers, sporting events and community events around the Waikato.

I’ve also somehow ended up with six Kiwi feature films on the old acting résumé, including The Tavern, Buzz Cut, AU3, Home Kills, Darkest Light and Punch, so booking me also helps a struggling Kiwi actor get one step closer to the Chris Warner level we all strive for.

More importantly, after 10 years as a celebrant I know that a great ceremony isn't about the person holding the microphone. It's about the two people standing in front of me.

I'll guide you through the whole process, help you work out what you want (and what you definitely don't), take care of the legal bits and make sure that when the day arrives, you can relax and enjoy it.
